What skills and experience we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children in a primary school. They will be enthusiastic and motivated and will have a distinct understanding of inclusion and special educational needs. The candidate will need to: differentiate lesson input, adapt the language and learning demands of a lesson, provide gentle prompts to refocus, deliver pre-/ post teaching, initiate sensory breaks, complete interventions such as precision teaching, toe by toe, catch up numeracy, lego therapy, zones of regulation, comic strip conversations and social stories.
The candidate will be required to work alongside the class teacher and SENDCo to ensure that progress towards EHCP targets is enabled.
