What skills and experience we're looking for
Clyst Vale is a thriving and vibrant 11- 16 Community College situated five miles from Exeter. Visitors to Clyst Vale usually comment on the friendly, orderly atmosphere, the courtesy of our students, and the purposefulness in lessons. We have clear expectations and systems, but far more important are the excellent working relationships we establish between staff and students, as well as staff and parents. We remain the only Secondary school in Devon to be accredited Gold Rights Respecting School status.
The role
Starting as soon as possible, we are seeking a dedicated, highly organised and efficient administrator to join our school. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting daily operations within the attendance department, and supporting the exams officer during exams periods, ensuring effective communication, and maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards.
You will provide support to staff, students and all other stakeholders, addressing enquiries promptly and professionally. You need to demonstrate excellent IT skills and have experience of using Office 365.Experience of using MIS/Bromcom and a First Aid qualification is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and willing to move fluidly between these two roles, although the majority of the role will be attendance based.
To apply, please visit our website:https://www.clystvale.org/362/vacancies
Closing date for all applications is midnight 8th February 2026.
Interviews will take place on 11th February 2026
What the school offers its staff
