Term Time only plus 10 Days (this includes INSET Days / Twilight sessions)

36.25 hours per week, 8.00am 4.00pm

Salary: Points 24 28 (Actual Salary £30,832 - £34,088)

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) to join our safeguarding team. In this key role, you will support the DSL in all aspects of safeguarding and student welfare. The post holder will work closely with staff, students, families and external agencies. A key part of the role will involve daily triage of CPOMS referrals, assessing risk, signposting to appropriate staff, and ensuring timely and effective action is taken.

The successful candidate will be a calm, confident, and compassionate professional with a strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation and guidance. You will be highly organised, resilient, and able to handle sensitive situations with discretion and sound judgement. Strong communication skills, the ability to build trusted relationships, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people are essential. Experience working with children or young people in a safeguarding or pastoral role is required.
