Summary
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Handheld Scanner Operator to assist with inventory management and data tracking. This role involves scanning items, inputting data directly into handheld devices, and ensuring accurate records for smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate handheld scanners to scan items, products, or materials
• Input item information, quantities, or other data into the scanner as needed
• Verify the accuracy of scanned and entered data
• Track inventory movement and report discrepancies
• Follow procedures for scanning, labelling, and data entry
• Maintain organised work areas and properly stored items
• Communicate any device malfunctions or data issues to supervisors
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards
• Follow all safety and company policies
Qualifications & Skills:
• Comfortable using handheld devices and entering data
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Good time management
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks
• Prior experience with scanning or inventory systems is a plus
