Regional Manager

Full-time, 35 hours per week

Grade 8 (£47,389.29 - £56,535.57)

Abertay is a modern university with a global outlook, rooted in its local and national communities. We have made our mark with high quality, well-directed teaching and research, and a stimulating and enriching experience for our students, recognised by our status as Scotland’s Top Modern University in the Guardian University Rankings 2026, and Top International School for Video Game Design for the 8th consecutive year, Princeton Review.
The International Recruitment and Partnerships Office (IRPO) is responsible for growing the University’s international reputation and revenue. Comprising an international recruitment team tasked with increasing the number and diversity of international students on campus in Dundee; an international partnerships team focussed on developing our portfolio of Abertay programmes being taught overseas; and a Student Exchange and Study Abroad function which manages student mobility programmes with partner institutions.

The International Recruitment Team (IRT) in which this role sits, leads the development and implementation of strategic engagement and internationalisation plans, aligned with the University’s goals and priorities. The team’s focus is in leading the institution’s work in growing our international student enrolment.

The University now seeks to appoint a Regional Manager to lead the successful delivery of key outreach and conversion activities from the Americas and Europe regions, with the aim of attracting international applications and enrolments for all University programmes. Reporting to the Head of International Recruitment, the postholder will work closely with colleagues across the University, particularly in Admissions, Marketing, Communications, Student and Academic Service and Faculty teams. Priority relationships will however be external, in managing relationships with key stakeholders overseas.

The role requires a decisive and proactive individual, promoting the world class student experience on offer to students in Scotland at Abertay. You will be an integral senior member of a team that is empowered to think creatively to communicate the University’s value proposition overseas. You’ll enjoy a varied and competing workload, a flexible working environment, and a team committed to investing in you, your ambitions, and career development.

Enquiries ahead of application are encouraged to Doug Watters, Head of International Recruitment. D.watters@abertay.ac.uk
