About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC machinery to produce high‑quality precision components according to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., milling, turning, grinding)
• Interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints
• Perform quality checks using measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Work closely with the production team to meet daily targets
Skills & Experience
• Previous CNC Machinist experience (minimum 1-3 years)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, and speeds
• Familiarity with FANUC, Siemens, Haas, or similar controls
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
• Apprenticeship or qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Machining
• Experience with CAD/CAM software
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods
