A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.
Applicants are invited to apply for the post of Junior Clinical Fellow in Trauma & Orthopaedics at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton.
The main site for this post will be at Queen’s Hospital, Burton on Trent although there will be an expectation to cross cover during times of staff shortages.
There is also the opportunity for extension and / or progression into a Senior Clinical Fellow role within UHDB.
ORTHOPAEDIC JUNIOR CLINICAL FELLOW (CT LEVEL) – CT level available for up to 12 months commencing within six months of the interview date at the latest, the role comprises a full-time commitment plus out of hours working.
This position will offer suitable candidates full educational support; Educational Supervisor, funded study leave and paid courses as appropriate.

• An average of 1115 patients are seen in A&Es across our network every day – 3rd largest in the country.
• Our hospitals admit an average of 195 emergency patients daily.
• Last year we undertook almost 33,700 planned surgical operations in our 57 operating theatres.
• We are one of only 7 Trusts nationally with more than 50 operating theatres.
• We carry out more than 140 elective procedures each working day.
The successful candidates will be responsible for daily management and review of inpatient care for patients admitted to the Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgical wards in Queen’s Hospital in Burton on Trent.
Here at Queen’s Hospital in Burton on Trent we have recently opened a new state of the art Orthopaedic Treatment Centre with 2 dedicated lamina flow theatres with ring fenced ward of 28 beds.
The junior clinical fellows will share a 1:10 on call rota. There are many opportunities to be exposed to elective and trauma orthopaedic surgery
