Are you interested in developing your clinical skills in a friendly and supportive department?

Due to the promotion of the current postholder we have an exiting opportunity available in North View our new-state-of- the-art mental health inpatient unit at North Manchester.

Working within the pharmacy team we will offer you support to develop your expertise and skills through formal training courses, mentoring and regular appraisals. Our team has a wealth of clinical knowledge in a wide range of clinical specialties with a strong team of senior pharmacists. We have excellent links with local universities, as well as a variety of clinical national networks.

As a clinical pharmacist, you will participate in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services to designated wards and services.

The role will include working closely within the clinical team to provide pharmaceutical advice to medical staff, nursing staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) as well as to patients and their carers.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that drug therapy is evidence based, safe, cost effective and appropriate to the individual patient.

Your role will also include ensuring that medicines management practices within the MDT and services comply with legal, national and local guidelines.

Support will be given to candidates wishing to undertake a postgraduate certificate or diploma in psychiatric therapeutics.
