Job Advert
Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint Seasonal
Visitor Centre Assistants to join our busy and friendly team.
This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your excellent customer service skills as you welcome and serve visitors to Spurn
Nature Reserve and Discovery Centre. Enjoy working at one of Yorkshire’s most iconic locations as part of a brilliant team.
In this busy and varied role, you’ll be assisting all front of house operations including taking orders from behind the café
counter, preparing food and drink, greeting visitors on arrival and taking payments for car parking and shop sales. This flexible
role will also help to maintain tidy and attractive facilities, which welcomes around 60,000 visitors a year.
You will have experience working in a fast paced, customer-focused environment and have a passion for delivering great customer
care. Hands-on experience within a café or hospitality environment preparing food and drink is desirable.
We have an urgent staffing gap to fill, and we’ll consider applications as they come in and may interview people at relatively
short notice, such that we reserve the right to close the post early.
How to apply:
Please submit an up-to-date CV and supporting statement. When writing your supporting statement, please refer to the person
specification within the job description, and ensure you describe your relevant knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the
role. Ideally, your CV and supporting statement should be in an editable format, such as Word, so we can anonymise your documents
prior to the short-listing process. Please DO NOT include any personal details (name, address etc) on your supporting statement.
The Trust regrets that it is unable to give feedback on unsuccessful applications.
We are committed to creating a Movement that recognises and truly values individual differences and identities. We value diversity
and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where everyone can be themselves and to reach their full potential. We want our
people to flourish, just like nature.
