Location: Near Attleborough, Norfolk
Salary: £23,835 - £24,568 depending on experience and qualifications
Hourly rate: £13.34 - £13.75
Hours: 40 hours per week, term time only
Contract: Permanent
Start date: As soon as possible

Inspire EHC is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a friendly and nurturing specialist secondary school near Attleborough, Norfolk. The school supports students aged 11 to 16 with communication and interaction needs, Autism, SEMH needs, dyslexia and anxiety-related barriers to learning.

With small classes of up to 10 students and at least three staff in each room, you will have the time and space to build strong relationships and deliver highly personalised support. An experienced on-site therapy and clinical team works closely with education staff to create a consistent, supportive and therapeutic environment for every learner.

Key Responsibilities
- Build positive and supportive relationships so students feel safe, valued and ready to learn
- Encourage independence, personal development and positive behaviour
- Support delivery of a broad and engaging curriculum tailored to individual needs
- Assist class teachers with daily routines and classroom organisation
- Adapt to the changing needs of the class and wider school
- Support students' cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural development
- Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Requirements
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or working towards it)
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Experience supporting students with SEMH or ASD needs
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location
