We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Convenience Store Retail Sales Assistant. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our valued customers. Your primary responsibility will be to serve customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, restocking shelves, and managing inventory. You will also handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all sales are properly recorded. Additionally, you will be responsible for answering customer inquiries, addressing any concerns, and providing product recommendations.

Duties and responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed and organized
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store, including restrooms and common areas
Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or product shortages
Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers
Process customer orders and handle customer complaints or concerns
Follow company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment etc.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment
Requirements:
GCSE or equivalent
Previous experience in retail or customer service
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
Familiarity with inventory management and stocking procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
20 Hours per week
