Jobs with 10 Programmed Activities will be offered as 9 Direct Clinical Care (DCC), 1 Supporting Professional Activities (SPA). The specific job plan will be developed in partnership between the needs of the department and the successful applicant. There is scope for increasing SPA activity, either by reducing DCC activity or by additional programmed activities, by mutual agreement, for specific Trust related roles. The number of PAs will be adjusted for part time consultants in discussion with the Clinical Director. The post will have direct clerical and operational support as well as secondary administrative support to facilitate the consultants participation in national and local audits and registries. Departments are moving towards a team-based approach to their workload. Resources are deployed flexibly in the way that best meets patients needs. The post holder would be expected to participate in this approach. The job plan will involve the following commitments: - 10 PAs including: Elective operating lists Pre-assessment clinics On Call commitment 1 PA Supporting Professional Activities
