The job description
You will be responsible for providing person-centred care to vulnerable people in their homes, to help them achieve maximum quality of life.
Accurately and clearly documenting the service user’s progress using online systems is an important part of the job.
Duties will include:
Assisting clients with personal care
Assisting with nutrition and hydration
Assisting with mobility and hoisting
Light housekeeping duties
Administering medication
Organising suitable recreational activities
Providing mental and emotional support and reassurance
Recording and reporting daily progress
Feeding via gastronomy
You will be expected to demonstrate a strong desire to help people and have patience, understanding and excellent communication skills. You will have:
Good spoken and written English
Empathy, sensitivity, tact and discretion
Thoroughness and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Good team spirit
Good judgment and ability to act your own initiative
Ability to learn tasks quickly
