I’m Dan, and I’ve been working closely with primary schools for the past two years, supporting them with their recruitment needs. I’m currently working with a number of schools in Chelmsford who are looking for flexible Primary Teachers to cover across KS1 and KS2. This role is ideal for teachers seeking day-to-day, short-term, or ongoing cover, depending on availability.

The Primary Teacher role involves delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and ensuring learning continues in the absence of the class teacher. You’ll be expected to manage behaviour effectively, follow school policies, and work collaboratively with support staff. Working hours are typically 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  
  

• Experience teaching across KS1 and/or KS2

  
  

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  
  

• Confidence adapting to new classrooms and routines

  
  

• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach

  
  

• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
