Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Temporary)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a key project on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a significant project within a dynamic environment, offering a long-term temporary contract for approximately 11 months.
You will be responsible for providing high-level commercial and cost management, ensuring the financial success of the project. The ideal candidate will be a qualified professional with a proven track record in a similar senior role.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide full quantity surveying services from pre-contract to final account.
· Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
· Manage procurement processes and prepare tender documentation.
· Conduct valuations, cost reporting, and financial forecasting.
· Administer contracts, including handling variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
· Prepare and agree on interim valuations and final accounts.
· Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
· Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams.
· Provide strategic commercial advice and risk management.
Essential Skills & Experience:
· Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
· Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
· Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT).
· Excellent financial and commercial acumen.
· Proficient in cost management and forecasting.
· Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
· Ability to work independently and lead on commercial matters.
· Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Desirable Skills:
· Experience in a relevant sector (details available upon shortlisting).
· Proficiency with industry-standard software.
