The Role
As a Payroll and Pensions Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure our staff are paid accurately and on time. You will be responsible for undertaking payroll processing, handling statutory deductions, and assisting with monthly pension returns.This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to take on real responsibility, work alongside senior colleagues, and develop a specialised skill set within a large-scale educational trust.
Key Responsibilities
• Payroll Processing:Accurately carry out monthly payroll procedures and resolve queries in a timely manner.
• Compliance:Ensure all data processing meets statutory guidelines, HMRC requirements, and Trust policies.
• Data Validation:Interpret terms and conditions of employment to ensure the accuracy of payroll and pension data.
• Stakeholder Engagement:Communicate effectively with HR colleagues and external agencies (such as pension providers) to resolve sensitive issues professionally.
• Administration:Maintain organised records and archive documents in line with retention requirements.
