The MissionWe are looking for a high-caliber, Freelance Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a fast-track Commercial Cut & Carve project in Kensington. This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit in the shadows; we need a sharp, "switched-on" individual who can manage the pressure of a live, complex structural refurbishment.

Key Responsibilities (Focus: Procurement)This is an urgent requirement with a heavy focus on the front-end commercial cycle. Your primary mission will be:

Procurement: Leading the procurement of specialist sub-contract packages (structural steel, demolition, MEP) within tight timeframes.

Commercial Intelligence: Identifying risks in the "cut and carve" phase and ensuring sub-contractor scopes are watertight.

Value Engineering: Working closely with the Senior QS to find smart savings without compromising the integrity of the build.

Reporting: Assisting with CVRs, variations, and cost reporting in a fast-paced environment.
