Summary
Hays recruitment are currently recruiting for a supply chain manager for our client based in Northfleet for a full-time, office-based permanent position.
Monday to Friday
8am till 5pm
Salary
£55,000 - £60,000 plus bonus

My client is a specialist distributor supplying the construction and mechanical & electrical sectors with fixings, support systems, containment, tools and related products across the UK. Operating from their Northfleet HQ, they are known for:

With continued growth and a global supplier base, my client is investing heavily in strengthening its supply chain and planning capability.
The Role: Supply Chain Manager
You will take full ownership of end‑to‑end supply chain planning, including:
- Leading the monthly S&OP process
- Building short‑, medium‑ and long‑term demand forecasts
- Managing global suppliers and international imports
- Overseeing inventory across multiple UK locations, including a 3PL
- Driving continuous improvement in systems, processes and data
- Leading a team of three (Buyer, Supply Chain Assistant, Purchasing Administrator)
This role reports into the Operations Director and plays a key part in ensuring my client delivers high availability, optimised stock levels and best‑in‑class supplier performance.

- Background in a UK distribution or construction/M&E supply environment
- Knowledge of international sourcing & import processes
- Confident with ERP/MRP systems & advanced Excel
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication
- A proactive, hands‑on leader who drives improvement
