Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (Core) in General Medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

There are two posts available:

Post one: Medicine for the Elderly to start from 01 April 2026 until 04 August 2026.
Post two: Cardiology to start from 09 May 2026 until 04 August 2026.





As well as providing you with experience of working in a ward environment within a specific specialty in Medicine, these posts will also offer you the opportunity to experience working as part of a busy medical take team based in the Emergency Department. A significant amount of senior support is available which greatly contributes to the educational value of these shifts, and enables completion of workplace-based assessments in Acute Care.

In order to be considered applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification and have:

• Completion of Foundation Competencies.

• A minimum of basic medical training of 18 months.

• A minimum 6 months of NHS service.

Please note that these posts donotcarry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

This post may be suitable for those wishing to undertake an “F3” role.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
