About the Role We are looking for a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support a young male with Severe Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (RDEB). This rare condition requires a high level of clinical awareness and a gentle, "hands-off" approach to protect the service user's fragile skin.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Nutritional Support: Managing all intake via Gastrostomy (PEG) feeding

  • Clinical Care: Administering nebulisers and assisting with specialized wound care and daily dressing changes.

  • Environment Monitoring: Ensuring a cool environment (below 15°C) to manage skin irritation and monitoring for new blisters.

Requirements for the Role: * An outgoing, bubbly personality with a commitment to high-quality support.

  • A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience.

  • Previous experience with PEG feeding and Medication Administration is highly preferred.

  • Willingness to learn specialized skin integrity protocols.

  • Valid Right to Work and original DBS certificate.
