We have a rare opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join our client who are based in Bury St Edmunds. This position offers an exciting opportunity to thrive in a friendly environment. This is a full-time permanent position where overtime may be available. The salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Currently there is a small team of 2 operators, so this role is suited to someone who has previous warehouse experience (ideally in a supervisory role) who is looking to grow and develop with the company as they grow.
The company supply pumps to from many different industries and projects all over the UK. Since moving to their location in Bury St Edmunds, the company has gone from strength to strength and has lots of exciting growth plans for the future. This position will be a hands-on role initially so we are seeking a candidate who is happy to get stuck in during the many busy periods they have,
The purpose of this role is to work as part of the team to make sure products and prepared, packed and distributed on time for customers. As the team, the business and the role grows, there will be special projects to work on such as developing processes within the warehouse to ensure its running as efficiently as possible. Other duties and responsibilities will include:
Manager Duties:
• Identify improvements that can be made in the daily running and organisation within the warehouse
• Provide an efficient service to ensure that customers products are delivered on time
• To lead the team, engaging and motivating staff
• Organise the warehouse in an efficient and user friendly way
• Build and maintain relationships with the couriers companies ensuring the best possible service is received
Warehouse Duties
• Picking orders from within the warehouse
• Preparing products for dispatch which will include so assembly of components such a building a manifold (training will be given)
• Packing up with relevant documents
• Loading and unloading of deliveries using a counterbalance FLT
• Stock control and amending stock sheets
This is a full time, permanent position. The working hours are 09:00 - 17:00 with a half hour for lunch. There will also be overtime available
The following skills and attributes are required:
• Proven experience within a warehouse environment
• A strong leader with a can-do attitude
• A visionary who is looking to progress there career with a growing company
• Excellent communication skills
• Organised, efficient and able to engage and motivate staff
• Articulated FLT licence but training can be provided
• Experience with MS office packages and ideally warehouse management systems too
• Brilliant communication skills
