This is an exciting opportunity to join our Registrars team!
As Collection Registrar (Acquisitions and Long Loans) you will be part of the Collection Management team and involved in the acquisitions and long loans process. You will spend varied days co-ordinating and documenting the movement and acquisition of art works from our collections, prioritising their care.
To be successful in this role you will have significant experience of registrar work with a museum collection, including working to national and international museum standards for transportation, packing, handling and environmental requirements. You will have a good knowledge of customs and insurance processes and procedures. You will also need to display project management, organisation and planning skills.
With a flexible approach and the ability to work well under pressure you will be able to meet deadlines whilst retaining excellent attention to detail. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will also mean that you communicate diplomatically and effectively at all levels, both internally and with external contacts.
