Personal Assistant - Preston (Cottam area)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to support an affectionate 6-year-old boy with an ASD diagnosis at home.
The role involves supporting age-appropriate independence through play, learning, routines and everyday activities. He enjoys reading, puzzles, Play-Doh and other tactile, hands-on activities, as well as gentle movement and physical play. He is beginning to use a communication app to support his communication.
Support will initially be home-based, focusing on building a strong, trusting relationship in a calm and nurturing environment.
We are looking for a patient, kind and nurturing individual with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs. Experience supporting children with ASD is essential. You must be reliable, punctual and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a part-time position of up to 14 hours every 4 weeks, paid at £12.21 per hour, plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and access to a workplace pension scheme. Working patterns will be discussed at interview.
