About the employer
A lady with health and mobility issues requires a fun, easy going, flexible Personal Assistant to support her in her family home.
Main Duties
• General household tasks to include cleaning, washing up, cleaning windows, bathrooms, gardening etc.
• Driving to and supporting with medical appointments, trips out etc. Mileage will be paid (excluding commute).
• A manual wheelchair is used whilst out and about and the Employer will be required to be pushed.
• You must be a car owner/driver and hold a full licence. Business cover on your motor insurance policy is also essential (proof will be required).
• The afternoon call is to prepare the Employer a simple meal and clean and tidy the kitchen afterwards.
• Support with general paperwork and home admin therefore some computer knowledge preferred but not essential.
• To be flexible around daily needs and to be able to do things under own initiative.
• There is no personal care in this role.
• Any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant.
Additional employment information
The Employer has a medium sized friendly dog and pet care may, very occasionally, be required. Therefore, you must be comfortable around animals.
The successful applicant will be friendly, able to give empathetic support, while respecting the employer’s independence but also able to take instruction.
Must be flexible, trustworthy and active with a good sense of humour.
Please note you will be directly employed by the person (or their representative) that you will be assisting. The Council is not the employer.
Sponsorship cannot be provided by individual employers. Your right to live and work in the UK must be confirmed already.
