Summary
We are currently looking for a full time Driver Technician for a well known healthcare company based in Littlehampton.
You will be responsible for the delivery, basic installation and collection of mobility equipment to people's homes and associated locations such as care homes, hospitals and schools across West Sussex.
They supply the necessary equipment and aids to support people in their day to day life. It can range from simple walking frames and crutches to more complex equipment such as beds, hoists, and pressure care equipment. We also carry out minor adaptations such as the installation of handrails and grab rails within people's homes. This can be very heavy work so being physically fit is beneficial.
A suitable candidate will have experience in the care sector as well as the driving sector.
There will also be a DBS carried out before officially starting, so you must have a clear criminal background.
What are we looking for?
- Someone with previous professional driving
- Someone with a full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years) with no more than 6 points
- Someone who can load and unload goods, some of which may be heavy
- A great communicator
- Someone with basic DIY skills, but this by no means essential
- A dedicated work, someone who can work 8 hours a day between Tuesday - Saturday
- Someone who has the flexibility to work out of hours - will be required to be on emergency call outs
