English Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Sudbury and the surrounding areas, delivering high‑quality English lessons across Key Stages.Duties as English Teacher:

• Deliver engaging English lessons using provided plans
• Teach a range of topics including literature, language, reading, and writing
• Support students in developing strong analytical and communication skills
• Assess and record pupil progress where required
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Manage behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
• Contribute to departmental planning during longer‑term placements

Ideal English Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in English language and literature
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire learners across different year groups
• Adaptable across a range of school environments
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
