Crynodeb
The post holder will deliver a high-quality phlebotomy service and support the clinical team with a range of Healthcare Assistant duties within a GP surgery setting. The role involves providing safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in line with practice policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include undertaking venepuncture, accurately handling and processing blood samples, maintaining clear patient records, and ensuring excellent standards of infection prevention and control. The post holder will also carry out routine clinical observations, ECGs, simple wound care, and support new patient and NHS Health Checks, following appropriate training and competency assessment. The role requires good communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to ongoing learning and development to meet service needs.
