What will you be doing day to day?
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes
Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.
Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system
Wash and sterilize glassware
Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, appetizers for bar patrons
Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
Clear and reset tables in bar area
Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager
Assist in the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
Meeting and greeting our guests, making them feel welcome and comfortable
Actively training floor staff and barbacks by sharing your exceptional cocktail knowledge
Working as a team player at all times
Ensuring the bar, and bar area are kept looking pristine
Occasionally helping other areas of the business as requested
Making sure all checklists and cleaning rotas are adhered to
What do you need to bring with you?
Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
Attention to detail
A strong ability to multitask
Commitment and drive
The ability to attend and undertake all required training
A passion for hosting and hospitality
Confident communication skills
Maintain and develop an excellent working knowledge of classic cocktails and our menu cocktails
Be punctual, reliable and trustworthy
Work with a sense of urgency and a “can do” attitude.
Have a genuine passion for food and beverage
Communicate any problems or issues with the other bartenders to ensure the smooth running of the bar service
Ultimately, communicate any issues you cannot solve amongst yourselves to the Bar Manager or Head Bartender as appropriate, so they can be dealt with.
