About the role
Brothers Drinks Co Ltd is looking for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor – Environmental Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability, you will play a key role in supporting the business across all aspects of EHS and Sustainability.
This role has a strong environmental focus, working across projects and operations to ensure regulatory compliance, drive environmental performance, and identify sustainability opportunities. You will coordinate pollution control, waste management, energy efficiency, and environmental health initiatives, while managing and reporting environmental data internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day Environmental, Health & Safety support across the business
* Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on health, safety, environmental and sustainability matters
* Support the development, implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 and the EHS Management System at site level
* Develop and deliver EHS policies, programmes and training to ensure legal compliance
* Gather, analyse and report environmental, EHS and sustainability data to meet internal, client and regulatory requirements
* Support and lead incident investigations, corrective actions and effectiveness reviews with managers and supervisors
* Assist with the rollout and implementation of environmental and sustainability programmes to minimise risk and improve performance
* Conduct audits relating to EHS management systems, compliance and internal procedures
* Act as the EHS and Sustainability subject matter expert, liaising with regulatory bodies and audit/accreditation organisations
* Monitor EHS performance, analyse trends and proactively implement improvements
* Support operational teams with risk assessments, chemical management, COSHH assessments, emergency response and operating procedures
* Support proactive safety initiatives such as GEMBA walks, safety tours and inspections
* Contribute to ESG and sustainability initiatives, including research and promotion of innovative solutions aligned with our Net Positive Strategy
* Stay up to date with regulatory changes and communicate updates to site management
About you
You will be a proactive and detail-oriented EHS professional with a passion for environmental performance and sustainability.
Essential qualifications and experience:
* ISEP Environmental Management qualification (or equivalent)
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
* Ideally 3+ years’ experience in an EHS or environmental role
* Full, valid UK driving licence
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Desirable:
* Experience working in FMCG, food or drink manufacturing environments
