Summary
Pony pursuits are a riding centre, who specialise in non formal riding experiences, such as country hacks, ride and groom sessions, pony therapy and birthday parties. There will also be opportunities to attend public and private events.Daily duties include all general yard duties and animal husbandry for the other small animals there:
Mucking out/keeping yard tidy
Filling water buckets / haynets
Making feeds
Grooming/ tacking up
Assisting with lessons and leading
Some riding available
Assisting with adults and children with additional needs
Training
All training will be provided on
site during your paid working hours.
Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination
of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training
Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
A GCSE or equivalent pass in English
and maths is beneficial but not essential.
If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your
Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
Skills required
Some equine experience is a preference, however we are willing to train anyone who has a great attitude towards learning.
Prospects
Progression to the Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship and further training for the right candidate.

Duration 15 months
