Automotive Internship / Junior Vehicle Technician (College Leavers) — Modern Diagnostics & Vehicle Electronics (Mon–Fri, No Weekends)
**Are you finishing college this year (or in the next few months)?**
If you’re doing **Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance/Repair** and you want a workshop role focused on **modern vehicles, diagnostics and advanced electrics**—this is for you.
At Auto Electrix Ferndown Ltd, we don’t do “old-school guesswork” or churn out the same basic jobs all day. This is a chance to build real skills in **today’s vehicle technology** and start a career in a specialist area that’s in demand.
### What you’ll learn (and get hands-on with)
You’ll be supported while you build confidence and practical experience in:
- Vehicle diagnostics and structured fault-finding
- Vehicle electrics (circuits, wiring, sensors, modules)
- Modern vehicle systems and network communications (CAN/LIN, control units, etc.)
- Strip, test, repair and refit of electrical components
- Exposure to advanced areas like **ADAS** and **programming/coding** (where suitable)
### Who this is for
This role suits someone who is:
- Leaving college with **Level 2 or Level 3** (or close to completing)
- Genuinely interested in **modern vehicles and technology**
- Keen to learn, reliable, and willing to follow a methodical process
- Comfortable asking questions and developing step-by-step (we’d rather you learn it properly)
### What you’ll get
- **Good working hours**
- **No weekends**
- A clean, professional environment focused on quality work
- **Ongoing training and mentoring**—you will develop real diagnostic ability, not just “fit parts”
- A pathway into a long-term role in diagnostics/auto electrical (for the right person)
### Apply
Send a short CV and a quick message telling us:
1) what course you’re finishing (Level 2 or 3),
2) when you’re available to start, and
3) what interests you most—diagnostics, electrics, modern systems
