Veolia HGV Class 2 Driver - Hiring Event



Salary: £33,228 per annum, plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:30

Location: Veolia Brent Municipal , 4-7 Marsh Road , HA0 1ES

Date of event: Thursday 12th February 2026 - 8:00am until 12:00pm noon

What you'll be doing;
  • Driving to planned collection locations and loading refuse into the truck.
  • Helping out loading and unloading vehicles when required.
  • Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook.
  • Using onboard technology to complete work notes.
  • Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads.
  • Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up.



What we're looking for;

Essential:

  • Class 2 Licence
  • An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
  • A can-do attitude and good time-management skills.
  • Being a team player is key to ensuring our collections run smoothly.

Desirable:

  • 1+ Years of Class 2 driving experience
  • Prior experience in the Waste industry



Hiring Event Details:

Date of event: Thursday 12th February 2026 - 8:00am until 12:00pm noon



On the day you may be asked to complete a driving assessment as part of the interview process, so please ensure you are potentially prepared for this.



Please note, if you have more than 3 points against your licence you will not be suitable for this position. We also require candidates to bring all relevant documents with them to the hiring day; Right to Work (birth certificate, passport, I.D, settled status etc.) and all driving documents (UK Driving Licence, Class 2 Licence, CPC, Tacho Card etc).
