The Opportunity:
Research and research leadership position on Zero Knowledge Lab (ZK Lab) on Prove Systems in the Post-quantum World. The postholder should have a PhD in cryptography or a closely related discipline. They must have excellent mathematical skills, a background in cryptography and provable security, research experience in zero-knowledge and SNARKs research, and a strong publication record in international journals and conferences. Experience of project development and project leadership in a research context, together with excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills will be required.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post is £41,064 to £48,822 per annum, pro rata if part time.
Your skills and attributes for success:
A PhD in computer science, informatics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
Experience in working and managing research projects.
A track record of research on topics in connection with cryptography, applied mathematics and computer security.
Competence in comprehending academic computer science research results and documents, at least at a high level, to compose reports understandable to industry.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
