Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our small family run garage. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of vehicles. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards. The Vehicle Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues using ODIS, performing repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
Responsibilities
Maintain and assemble vehicle components and systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals. Perform equipment repair, including the use of hand tools and power tools. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Carry out heavy lifting as required during the repair process. Weld components as necessary to ensure structural integrity of vehicles.
Experience
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems. Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is essential. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a physically demanding environment. Clean Full UK Driving license is required A relevant Level 3 qualification or higher would advantageous.
