- travel occasionally to out-of-county hospitals and community locations
- undertake community treatment order (CTO) work, guardianship applications/renewals, and warrant applications
- act as the AMHP triage worker and represent the service at multi-agency meetings
- promote a high-performance culture that is flexible, innovative, and focused on continuous improvement
- support the AMHP Team Manager in reviewing service delivery and escalating risks where appropriate.

You will need
We hope you’ll bring:
- Registered Social worker, Mental Health or Learning Disability nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist
- AMHP qualification and current approval to practice
- a strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and related legislation
- the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- a commitment to delivering person-centred, compassionate care
- flexibility to work across different locations and rotas.
You can view a full list of requirements in the Job and Person Profile (Word). If you believe you can succeed in this role, apply. Even if you don't meet all requirements, still apply. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your application.

The team
We are a countywide AMHP service working in partnership with Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT). Our three rota areas are:
- Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds: 2 AMHPs per day
- Waveney: 1 frontline AMHP.
You’ll be supported by a dedicated AMHP Team Manager and benefit from:
- 3-monthly AMHP supervision
- Regular peer support groups
- Annual appraisal
- Specialist AMHP CPD (minimum 18 hours per year).
We’re proud of our collaborative, supportive culture and our commitment to professional development.
