Electro Mechanical Assembler
- Permanent position
- Location: Bishops Stortford, easy access from M11 - Stansted Airport Junction
- Free on-site car parking,
- Salary: to £30,000 PA, plus overtime rate
- Hours: Monday to Friday: 7.30 AM to 4.00 PM
Located on the Essex / Hertfordshire border in Bishops Stortford, we require an Electro Mechanical Assembler to join one of the world's leading providers in Special Purpose Machinery that is supplied across the medical industry.
Duties:
- Mechanical / Electro Assembly, involving wet and dry systems.
- Soldering & crimping to a high standard
- Use of hand tools, with some use of electrical hand tools
- Ability to be read wiring diagrams
- Ability to understand exploded diagrams
- Cooperate and work with all other production staff
- Ensure all operations are complete and done correctly
- Any other duties as required
Key skill requirements:
- Previous experience with metal work and use of hand tools.
- Electro / Mechanical assembly work.
- Good knowledge of pumps, valves, sensors etc.
- A background in medical / pharmaceutical / food industry machine assembly is an advantage.
- Wiring experience - crimping, soldering, re-wiring.
- Able to read CAD drawings
In order to be considered for the role you will have these basic skills:
- Experience and confidence with the use of hand tools, such as drills, angle grinders etc.
- Drilling and tapping
- Competent at measuring out and able to read drawings
- Follow work instructions
- Working well as part of a team.
