Resident Hotels is seeking an enthusiastic Systems and Special Projects Manager to join our growing team, creating personalised experiences to mirror our guests’ onsite experience. The Systems and Special Projects Manager will act as an Ambassador of The Resident & Four Points Flex by Sherton Brands.
Resident Hotels is a specialist Hotel Management Company, that manages two hotel brands; The Resident in London, Edinburgh and Liverpool and Marriott International's Four Points Flex by Sheraton brand in Cardiff, Newcastle, Dundee and Edinburgh.
An independent hotel brand operating in the UK, alongside franchise hotels under the Marriott brand. This role is critical for managing systems, delivering special projects, and providing hands-on technical support across the group.
Role Purpose:
To manage and maintain all operational systems across the hotel group, lead special technology projects, and provide technical expertise to support operations and the IT team.
The role ensures compliance with Marriott standards. Drive innovation in hospitality technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and troubleshoot hotel technology platforms (PMS, POS, CRM, HQ Systems, Hotels Systems, network infrastructure).
- Perform system upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Ensure system security, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Lead IT projects such as system migrations, integrations, and new technology deployments.
- Develop project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate stakeholders.
- Provide advanced technical support to the IT team and hotel staff.
- Act as escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Ensure GDPR compliance and Marriott IT standards.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices and monitor vulnerabilities.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation.
- Research emerging hospitality technologies and recommend adoption.
