Free tea, coffee and milk at your base location The Ideal Candidate Essential The ideal candidate for this role will: First level nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, or Paramedic degree Recognised teaching or mentorship qualification equivalent to level 3 History Taking and Physical Assessment module at Masters level Diagnostics module at Masters level MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice Previous experience in gerontology or a relevant medical specialty at band 6 or above. Evidence in challenging clinical practice and leading in the development of new pathways of care and delivering best practice Evidence of successfully resolving complex problems Experience in carrying out clinical audit and risk assessment Proven skills in leading, managing and developing teams Evidence of successful resource management. Highly specialist clinical and technical skills in managing a range of clinical conditions and end of life care Strong analytical and judgement skills, with the ability to interpret complex situations and make appropriate decisions. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with other health and social care professionals, patients, carers and relatives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to develop and deliver training packages to a wide range of staff Ability to work autonomously without supervision Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Ability to adapt to the demands of a constantly changing environment Good IT skills IT literate Willingness to work in other areas of the service as and when required to do so. Current full driving license and use of a car during working hours. Desirable Independent Non-Medical Prescriber Qualification Completion of required modules for Band 7 Clinical leadership Experience as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner/ Clinical Lead. Strong IT Skills including excel and power-point Knowledge of national NHS drivers and initiatives Advanced clinical practice skills such as interpretation of ECG; X-rays. Presentation skills Ability to plan and manage resources within allocated budget effectively Knowledge of national and local NHS healthcare agenda, standards, research and its implications. Active in national clinical networks, involving care of older people
