- Wear correct PPE and carry out all tasks in a safe manner in line with site rules and training
- Use handrails and marked walkways when moving around site
- Be vigilant around plant and vehicles
- Report all safety and environmental issues
- Conduct laboratory tests on process and product samples in accordance with standard test procedures and standards e.g Food Grade Standards and ISO 17025
- Use correct containers and methods for collecting samples in accordance with site and guidance procedures.
- Sample material quality and record information correctly and accurately
- Ensure all laboratory equipment has up-to-date calibration and is functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide technical support and analytical guidance.
- Follow general Good Laboratory Practices.
- Report any quality issues to site supervisor/management
- Stop the job and report any safety issues to the line manager.
- Assist with future innovations / projects and building business cases to support.
- Other ad-hoc duties as requested by Management..
