Hays are working with a prestigious client who are seeking a confident and motivated Telemarketer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making outbound calls to prospective or existing customers, promoting products and services, generating leads, and supporting overall sales growth. This role requires excellent communication skills, resilience, and a customer‑focused attitude.
Your new role
As a Telemarketer your role will involve:
- Make outbound calls to potential and existing customers using a prepared script.
- Promote and explain products or services to customers in a clear and engaging manner.
- Answer customer questions and provide accurate information.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products or solutions.
- Generate leads, schedule appointments, or close sales depending on campaign requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of calls, customer interactions, and outcomes in the CRM system.
- Meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly call and conversion targets.
- Follow all company policies, data protection rules, and compliance procedures.
- Provide feedback to supervisors on customer responses and market trends to improve campaigns.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Confident, polite, and professional telephone manner.
- Ability to handle objections and remain resilient under pressure.
- Good time‑management and organisational skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM systems (training can be provided).
- Self-motivated with a target-driven mindset.
- Experience & Qualifications
- Previous telemarketing, call centre, or customer service experience preferred but not essential.
- Sales experience is an advantage.
- Training will be provided for the right candidate.
