Learning Support Assistant & Midday Supervisor
St Martin’s C of E Primary School, Dorking, is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant with experience of working with children with special education needs.
The successful candidate would be welcomed warmly to our fully inclusive and positive teaching team and will be committed to actively nurturing good learning behaviours and ensuring that the children in their care make good progress in all areas.
Ideally, candidates will have some previous experience in a KS1 classroom and be able to confidently scaffold next steps in learning; under the guidance of an experienced class teacher. They will have very high expectations for all of the children and a determination to further their own professional development.
The successful candidate will bring to the school with them a range of positive professional attitudes including the ability to work hard, maintain confidentiality and will need to have a clear understanding that all children are able to achieve.
Hours are expected to be 9.00am to 3.30pm with a 30 minute unpaid break.
Learning Support Assistant - Salary SP3 range £24,330 FTE (Pro Rata £9,400- £9,600 based on 16.5 hours at 38.6 weeks)
Midday Supervisor (lunch duty) – Salary SP1/2 £22,599 FTE (Pro Rata 814 per annum) based on 1.5 hours (3 lunch time sessions over 38 weeks)
There is an opportunity in this role to work extra hours for after school cover from 3.30pm – 6pm.
Starting date: ASAP
