A long-term opportunity for Class 2 drivers – drainage experience not essential
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established wastewater and drainage services provider supporting critical infrastructure across the South-West.
The business works closely with water authorities, utilities and commercial clients, delivering high-quality drainage, tanker and specialist cleaning services. They are known for strong operational and safety standards and for investing in both equipment and people.
This role is suitable for either Class 2 HGV drivers looking to move into the drainage industry as full training is provided, or experienced drainage/wastewater tanker drivers seeking stable, long-term employment with paid overtime and good-quality equipment.

The Role
• Driving and operating Class 2 HGV drainage tankers on wastewater and drainage projects
• Carrying out vacuum tanker operations, including suction and disposal
• Working on sewers, wet wells, tanks, siphons and other wastewater assets
• Supporting jetting and cleaning operations as part of a site team
• Manual handling including hoses, site clean-ups and debris removal
• Working in confined spaces and challenging outdoor environments
• Completing digital job sheets, site reports and vehicle checks
• Maintaining vehicles and equipment to high operational standards
• Occasional working away and participation in the on-call rota

About You
Essential:
• Full clean UK Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence
• Valid CPC card
• HGV driving experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious
• Comfortable with hands-on, outdoor work
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Right to work in the UK
Experience:
• Previous drainage, wastewater, tanker or jetting experience is advantageous but not essential
• Drivers without drainage experience will receive full training
• Pay is aligned to previous drainage experience within the £15–£17 per hour range
Tickets beneficial (or willingness to obtain):
• High-Pressure Water Jetting (WJA)
• Confined Space Entry
• NRSWA / Street Works
• CSCS Card
If you’re a Class 2 driver looking for a stable role with progression opportunities, whether you’re experienced in drainage or new to the sector, apply now or contact us for a confidential discussion.
