Crynodeb
Prior to applying, please review the attached Job Description and Person Specification. The post holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of day-to-day medical care on the Oncology Ward, including supervising the junior team to ensure the prompt completion of e-discharge summaries, VTE assessments, dementia screening, result endorsement etc. and any clinic letters on patients under his/her care, and for ensuring good communication with General Practitioners and referring Clinicians as appropriate. The post holder will not participate in the regular on call rota. It would be expected that the post holder will contribute to the development of the service, will participate fully in the departments Governance meetings, will provide continuity and training for our Oncology ward juniors and will help develop opportunities for an expanded Middle Grade Oncology team going forward, including proactive integration with the visiting Palliative Care Service.
