Salary: Grade 5 SCP 18-22 = £31,537 - £33,699 per annum pro rata
35 Hours = 94.59% = £29,830 - £31,875 per annum
To be responsible as a lead member of the staff team, and senior practitioner, for the direct day to day care of children and young people and other supportive tasks and duties.
.The Senior Residential Child Care Practitioner will support the Manager in contributing to planning, and ensuring the safe delivery of evidence based interventions, which will involve working directly with children/ people and their families, to secure a swift return home, or move to a longer term placement. In addition they will coordinate and provide a service which supports, children/young people their families, and foster placements, where there is a risk of disruption or breakdown.’

• To deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence.
. To be able to deal with contentious and complex matters
• This will include evening and weekend work, and sleep in duties as required.
• The standards that are applied to this post are QCF Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care ( Children and Young People) or the predecessor qualification N.V.Q. Level III Awards in Care
