Summary

PAYROLL OFFICER 30HRS PER WEEK

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Job description:

Job Summary
We are a registered charity, based in Ardrossan and running a Payroll Service for Personal Assistant Employers.

Responsibilities

· Provide efficient and accurate support as part of the Payroll team processing payroll for over 400 clients employing Personal Assistants (PAs) for their care needs.

· Process variable pay instructions, received via paper forms, emails and online submission.

· Provide clients with payroll reports showing all employee related payments i.e. wages, statutory payments, tax & NI, pensions, other deductions etc.

· For AILN Managed payrolls record payroll information for payment.

· Record PA holidays and make any changes to contracts requested by employer.

· Bank reconciliations for Managed Banking clients.

· Work with external partners including HMRC, Pension provider, funding providers, etc

· To attend to any other duties instructed by the Payroll Manager or Supervisor.

· To maintain highest level of confidentiality relating to staff & clients

Core role & Duties:

PAYROLL: Process payroll from timesheets.

Adhere to all legal requirements.

Provide reports for clients.

Provide reports for funding providers

Update client & PA records

BANKING & INVOICES: Bank statement reconciliations

Raise invoices or credit notes related to reconciliations.

Advise clients & funders of low funds.

Calculate client fund reclaims when requested.

Qualifications : Payroll qualification preferable or an equivalent level of qualification in a relevant subject.

Knowledge: Must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Payroll and its processes. Please do not apply if you do not have the appropriate experience

Experience: Prior Payroll experience essential

Specific Skills and Knowledge:

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be competent in IT including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Must be able to demonstrate experience working within a team providing co-ordinated support to both staff & clients

Other Must be willing to be flexible in working

hours to meet the needs of AILN service.
