We are looking for a compassionate, self-motivated and highly committed person to join the team as a Crisis Intervention Coordinator in our Northfield based crisis café, Talking Space. This is an exciting opportunity to be a lead role in our well-established team, which supports individuals presenting in distress or mental health crisis.

Our service supports individuals by listening non-judgementally, and implementing person centred interventions, in order to alleviate the demand on A&E departments. This offers a more suitable environment to for individuals to de-escalate and recuperate. The Talking Space operates out of our Northfield Hub, Thursday to Sunday from 6pm-11pm.

This role offers unique and challenging opportunities bringing great job satisfaction to those who are looking to make a positive difference to the lives of others. We provide relevant Crisis Intervention training such as Suicide Prevention and Psychologically Informed Environments as well as access to accredited health and social care diplomas through our own training academy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deputising and supporting the manager in co-ordination of all aspects of service delivery
• Leading on the recruitment, supervision and embedding of volunteers within the service.
• To devise staffing rotas in accordance with agreed requirements and the needs of the service. To be pro-active and resourceful in addressing any gaps in service provision.
• To actively promote the service to external referrers and partner agencies, building a positive reputation and strong working relationships to ensure the service is fully utilised.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, credible & professional practitioner, and have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience of supporting adults with mental health, or other additional needs. A willingness to work flexibly according to the needs of the service is essential.
