Summary
Class 2 Volumetric Driver vacancy – In a family run business based in Hemel Hempstead.
Key Responsibilities:
• Driving & Delivery: Safely drive and manoeuvre large volumetric concrete mixer trucks to various job sites.
• On-Site Operation: Mix concrete to specific customer requirements (slump/consistency) and pour it accurately at delivery points.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, verify orders, and ensure satisfaction.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily vehicle checks, report issues, and maintain cleanliness.
• Paperwork: Complete delivery notes, timesheets, and other relevant documentation accurately.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all road laws, tachograph regulations, and company safety policies.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
• License: Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) license.
• Certification: Driver CPC qualification and a digital tachograph card.
• Experience: Previous mixer driving experience is beneficial but not always required; training is often provided.
• Skills: Good customer service, strong communication, organizational skills, ability to work independently, and problem-solving.
Working Conditions:
• Often involves early starts, varied hours, and working outdoors on construction sites.
• Requires physical fitness for vehicle checks and potentially guiding chutes.
• Mon to Fri role, with overtime available on Saturdays
