The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time French Teacher to join a highly successful secondary school in Leeds. The position is specifically for Mondays and Tuesdays, starting ASAP. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality French lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering a love for languages and helping students achieve their full potential in a modern, well-resourced setting.

Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Knowledge of current GCSE specifications and assessment criteria.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Fluency in French with a deep understanding of the curriculum
- Excellent communication skills to engage both students and colleagues.
- ICT proficiency for lesson delivery and administrative tracking (e.g., ClassCharts).
- Creative thinking to design innovative and interactive lesson plans.
- Empathy and patience when working with diverse learning backgrounds.
- Collaborative mindset to work seamlessly within a busy faculty.
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality French lessons that adhere to the National Curriculum.
- Assess and record student progress, providing constructive verbal and written feedback.
- Differentiate teaching materials to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and high-ability students.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively using the school's restorative "Ready, Respect, Safe" framework.
- Set high expectations for academic attainment and personal conduct within the classroom.
- Collaborate with the MFL department to share resources and best practices.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations at KS3 and KS4 levels.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding student achievement and well-being.
- Maintain a stimulating learning environment, including the creation of vibrant classroom displays.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the wider school ethos.
