Early Help is an approach to identify and support children and their families at an early stage, to prevent problems developing later in life.
Meeting the needs of all children and young people in Calderdale relies on effective collaboration and positive partnerships between all agencies who work with or provide services for children, young people and their families.
We are looking for a Parenting Support Lead to join our Early Help Team as part of the Family Hubs offer, families have access to high-quality and evidence-based parenting interventions. You will promote and contribute to the development, implementation and take up of evidence-based parenting programmes in Calderdale. You will develop effective links with partners to promote the value of effective parenting in promoting good outcomes for children and ensure there is a clear pathway for parent /carers to access the programmes on offer.
We are looking for a practitioner that has a passion for working with families, is trained in evidenced based parenting programmes and is willing to engage in research and development to enhance our menu of programmes on offer based on community needs.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
