Crynodeb

Are you a Clinical Support Worker seeking to advance your career? We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Senior Clinical Support Workers to join our older adult medical wards. Ward J08 is a 31-bedded Older Adult General Medicine ward dedicated to delivering high-quality care for the population of Leeds aged 75 and over. It caters to a diverse group of elderly male and female patients. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record of providing safe, compassionate care to patients. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential. A positive, flexible approach and team oriented mindset are required. We primarily seek a Senior Clinical Worker to work predominantly on day shifts, as this will benefit the ward team and help maintain high standards of care during daytime operations. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team that is creative and enthusiastic. Your role will involve providing both direct and indirect compassionate care to patients in support of the multidisciplinary team. You will undertake a range of delegated clinical patient care duties and may work under direct or indirect supervision by a registered practitioner. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of care as part of the multidisciplinary team. You are expected to maintain high standards of patient care through effective planning, implementation, and delivery. You should be proactive in taking appropriate actions and acting independently to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, you will lead and support a team of clinical support workers, new clinical support works and apprentice clinical support workers. It is essential that all practice aligns with Trust policies, guidelines, standards, statutory requirements, and that you operate within your defined competency boundaries. The Speciality and Integrated Medicine (SIM) clinical unit encompasses many specialities, a broad range of jobs and a common goal of providing seamless integrated patient- centred care. We strive to be SIMply the best! Our services include Older Peoples Medicine (including Same Day Emergency Care), Diabetes, Endocrinology, HIV Outpatients, Leeds Sexual Health, Infectious Diseases and a variety of related specialisms. We work closely with other teams across the Trust, facilitating the admission, care and discharge of one of its largest acute patient cohorts.
